Phyllis Barr

At home, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, in her 87th year, following a lengthy illness borne with courage, faith and humour, Phyllis passed into the fullness of life, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved. Widow of the late David Barr, and predeceased by her first husband Ovide Dubois. Dearly loved mother of Norman (Susan Craig), Rhoda (Wilfred Scott), and Doreen (Leonard Boucher). Devoted and cherished grandmother of Sean Scott (Tina), David Gravelle (Natalie), Jennifer Barrett (Kevin), Chris Gravelle (Melissa), Julia Dubois and Craig Dubois. Beloved great-grandmother of twelve. Predeceased by her parents Frederick Routliffe and Ada Allger, her brother Gerald Routliffe (the late Rona Miller), and her sisters Lois Miller (the late Raymond) and Marion Greene (the late Wallace). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Eve Guillotte, Dr. Michel Finlay and nurse Yvedane for their compassionate care and support. Family will receive friends at Pinecrest Visitation Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, on Thursday from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday at 11 a.m. in St Mark’s Church Aylmer. Interment St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Mark’s Conference, 160 Main St. Gatineau, Quebec (Aylmer sector) J9H 3M8 would be appreciated.
