Our condolences to Carol and Phil's family. I worked with Phil in the 1970's when that gentle giant was our draftsman in Industrial Engineering. Phil was a very kind and friendly person, sad to hear that he is passed.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Philippe.  As a young teenager, I spent a lot of time at the Asselin family home on Lanark Ave.  You were like a second family to me.  We played cards, board games, listened to music and had loads of fun.  I still remember sharing the “French Canadian” Christmas with all of you - midnight mass and the food, then going home and waking up to celebrate Christmas with my own family.  Cherish your memories, they will help you through the sadness.

Wherever you are Phil i am sorry uncle.  You left this world far too soon.   I am saddened to see this happen.  I found him to be a kind, warm,  cheerful , patient, generous, good sense of humoured man with an easy smile that made anyone around him at ease right away  including myself.  I'll never forget how Phil and my aunt Carol generously helped me and my younger brother where they made it possible in a special way so that we could finish high school.  Thank you forever ! So sorry for your loss Carole and Hilary. No words can even come close to expressing how much I enjoyed my time with Phil  during my early college days and renion meetings thereafter.  I spoke to him about his gentleness, kindness, work, projects etc. - all these things wrapped up fulfilling his life feeling peace knowing the most important people, you Carole and Hilary are and will be looked after.  He will certainly be missed...

Marie and I are very sorry to learn this sad news.  We feel very fortunate that Hilary, Carol and Phil came into our lives during a period that was very difficult for us.  Phil was a great guy and was someone that our son Patrick looked up to a great deal.  The shed that they built together in our backyard is a reminder of just how generous Phil was with his time and in sharing his skills.  We will forever cherish the many good times that we all enjoyed together.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of Phil.  He was a co-worker but so much more.   He adored Carol and worshipped Hilary. 
Such a gentleman who made the world warmer and kinder with his presence.  There wasn't an animal in a 50 mile radius he didn't try to rescue .   I know because I got a cat and a dog out of Phil's persuasive ways.   You will be missed.
