Paul William Rooney

Unexpectedly at home, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Joan Fairbairn. Loving father of Sean (Estelle), the late Mary, David (Sharon), Susan (Randy), the late Karyn (Stephen), Jeffrey (Jane) and Jennifer (Jordan). Adored grandpa of Lisa, Sarah, William, James, Christine, Catherine, Caroline, Liam, Jack, Megan, Kiera, Finn, Ellie and 2 great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Julian. Predeceased by his parents John and Irene Rooney of Fallowfield and his 10 siblings, Sr. Phyllis - Franciscan Order, Teresa, Florence, Helen, Jack, Mary, Gwen, Art, Lucille and Emmett. Paul was a high school math teacher and head of the department for 30 years at Fisher Park and Glebe, where he helped and influenced many students and teachers over the years. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2-5 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11 am at St. Patrick`s Church, 15 Steeple Hill Crescent, Fallowfield. Spring interment. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, please call the funeral home to schedule attendance for the visitation and or the Funeral Mass.
