It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick on October 28, 2021, in Ottawa, at the age of 83. Loving husband of Margaret (Peggy) Wallace (nee Arnold). He will be missed very much by his children, Valerie Wallace (Janice), Jennifer Eastwood (nee Wallace) (James), and Christopher Wallace (Tanya); his grandchildren, Graeme Eastwood, Evan Eastwood, Oliver Brown, Claire Eastwood, Callum Brown and Norah Wallace; and by his former son-in-law, David Brown. Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Isobel (nee Hill) Wallace.
Pat’s was a life well lived. He enjoyed vacations, family dinners, a fine bottle of red wine, a good joke, a strong Bridge hand, and limitless time on the golf course.
The family will receive relatives and friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 7-9 pm. Capacity restrictions are no longer in effect, however proof of double vaccination will be required to attend the visitation. Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, 685 Walkley Road on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10 am, please call the funeral home to register to attend the Mass.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Patrick’s home for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Pat’s memory to the Day Program at Ottawa West Community Support and Abbotsford House.
