Nicole Bertrand

Born in Gracefield, QC, formerly of Hamilton, ON. Passed away peacefully in Ottawa after a brief illness on January 15, 2017, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Fernand Bertrand, loving mother of Robert (Dana Hager), France Lemieux (Jean-François), André and Ellen (Sean Horrall). Much loved grand-maman of Elise and Kaitlynn Bertrand-Hager; Patrick, Alexandre and Catherine Lemieux; and Ariane, Ronan and Xavier Horrall. Dear sister of Linette Bertrand (Rodolphe) and Francine Carter; Marcel, Huguette (Réjean Barrette), Ghislaine, Mario (Lucille Rice), François (Raymonde Roberge) and Elizabeth (Claude Roberge). Predeceased by her parents Romain and Colette Rochon and brothers Gilles and Jacques. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Visitation on Saturday, January 21 from 1 pm -3 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON. Tributes and words of remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. in the Chapel with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
