Peacefully at home, on Sunday February 23, 2014 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Rakida (Awad). Loving father of Yolanda (Dr. Pierre Istfan) and Jennifer (Todd Casey). Dear Jiddo of Andrew and Brandon Istfan. Survived by his sister Marie Gharib (late Nayef) and predeceased by Ibrahim, Andraos, Hafiza and Jamal. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Wednesday from 5-9 pm. Funeral Service on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Dr. (at Ridgewood Ave.) Interment Hope Cemetery. In memoriam donations to St. Elias Cathedral would be appreciated.
