It is with great sadness that her family announces her passing on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 77 years. She was the daughter of the late Jose and Elvira Da Silva. Loving wife of Jose Pereira. Cherished mother of Manuel Pereira (Luciana Picanço). Maria is survived by her brothers Dionisio (Armanda) Da Silva and Manuel Da Silva. She was predeceased by her sister Louiza Da Silva Cruz (late Albino Cruz).
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for the excellent care given to Maria.
Family and friends will be received at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Rd. Ottawa, Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, October 30, 2020 from 8:30-10:45 a.m.. The Funeral Mass will follow at St Sébastien Church 1000 Frances St, Ottawa at 11 a.m. The burial will take place at Notre-Dame Ottawa Cemetery after the funeral Mass.
