She was the daughter of the late Manuel Silveira Machado and of the late Maria Soares Bettencourt and she was the loving wife of the late Jose Soares de Oliveira.
She leaves behind in sorrow her children: Lino, Joe, Jenny, Margaret, Maria, Jack, Manuel, George and Paulo.
She also leaves her beloved grandchildren: Danny, Celina, Angelo, Jason, Christopher, Mathew, Joshua, Tasha, Nikolas, Ali, Anthony, Andrew, Michael, David, Brandon, Drake and Damion.
Maria will be greatly missed by many other family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-9 pm at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Road, Ottawa. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10am at Senhor Santo Cristo Parish, 1100 Kenaston Street, Ottawa,followed by burial at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank St, Gloucester.
