She had an uncanny ability to read people and sense things about them, which she always generously shared – they were always very positive and loving messages. I will miss our talks.

I have known “Auntie” Margot since the late 50’s as someone who made us feel special whenever we were together. She absolutely loved people and was genuinely happy to see us through all these years.

It was her laugh that I remember most. Largesse, infectious and it would fill the room with joy. A few years ago that we found out about her incredible artistic talent seeing some of her paintings at Heather and Chris’s home. She was definitely not just a pretty face. Years of dinner and social conversation gave us stories of her past reinforcing how laughter and creativity got her through tough times.
Margot, we love you and you will live on through our wonderful relationship with Heather, with Chris by her side.

Memories of my childhood include those of Aunt Margot ( "Mags"to some,)  who I thought was the most beautiful tall woman imaginable with her gorgeous, thick wavy fair hair, huge eyes and big smile.  At that age I could not fully appreciate, what I learned later on, that her beauty was not  skin-deep . Her facility to listen and make one feel as if whatever one had to say was the single most important thing at that time,  allowed her to be friend and confidante to many. She never took sides.. she kept her own counsel in that regard. On a lighter note, I can not eat a tuna sandwich on white bread or make a rhubarb pie, without thinking of her . Simple memories perhaps, but ones that linger even after decades. To my cousin Heather Desjardins and other family members who mourn her passing, I send my compassion. 

She will certainly be missed. We certainly shared some wonderful times together for many, many years. Love you lots my friend. Rest in peace.

We wish you comfort and peace in this time of mourning.  I know that your love and care helped her during her life. She was a very special person.   Although we’ll miss her laughter and kindness, we feel so blessed that we had the chance to know her.  We will all miss her.
