Every year a different photo of Dad on the lawn mower. 
We have several years of photos of Dad mowing the lawn and such. We even caught him going to the mail on the lawn mower. He was a risk taker at times LOL.

Dad loved mowing the lawn, he often did patterns such as waves or checkerboard. He always kept himself and us amused. 
We never new what he would come-up with next.

Dad, It has been 1 year today and I miss you dearly. There is not a day that goes by I don't think of you. 
I miss our daily talks and Messaging . 
I miss updating you on our family and activities.
I miss updating you on our latest reno.
I miss calling you to show you what Jean-Noel's building or some crazy contraption he has invented (but it works). 
I miss the yearly photos of you on our the riding lawn mower.
I miss your friendly smile. 
I miss helping you. 
I just miss you terribly.

Dear Lise.  Got your card and just wanted to acknowledge how nice it was to hear from you.  I hope you are doing better.  I wish you and all your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year. I am sure your dad will be in your thoughts during these moments.

Lise, Guy and families, I was thinking about your Dad today and thought I should check him out only to find that he crossed over in October.  Sending you my sincere condolences on your loss.  Cherish all the great memories.  He always sent me an email on my birthday.  I have many great memories of Marcel and Jackie.

Il est difficile, d'essayer d'honorer les paroles de mon père. Il n'est jamais facile de capturer quelqu'un dans un discours, car souvent les mots ne parviennent pas à capturer la véritable essence de quelqu'un. Dans ce cas, ils échouent tellement en dessous de la marque que je pense qu'il est presque vain d'essayer. 
Je vois à la fois des sourires et des larmes. Les larmes, bien qu'il y ait eu beaucoup de larmes de tristesse au cours des dernières semaines depuis que nous avons perdu mon père, ne sont pas des larmes de tristesse alors que vous êtes assis ici et que vous vous en souvenez. Ce sont des larmes de joie, entremêlées de sourires nostalgiques, pour la façon dont cet homme a laissé une marque permanente sur vos esprits, vos cœurs et vos âmes.
Je vois les petits-enfants de mon père se souvenir de voyages de pêche sur le lac Baskatong et revenir en sentant le poisson avec des restes de jus d'appât et des morceaux sur leurs vêtements. Appréciant le dîner de poisson, ils avaient fièrement fourni. Mon père leur a présenté le délicieux ail sauvage et a dû endurer leur souffle le reste de la soirée.
Je vois mon père assis avec son arrière-petit-fils après la chasse de Pâques partageant leurs chocolats avec délice. (C'est une de mes photos préférées).
Je vois mon père nous apprendre patiemment à conduire et à ne pas bosseler son tout premier véhicule neuf. Et maman se sentant soulagée une fois que nous sommes rentrés à la maison en toute sécurité. Je me souviens qu'il nous apprenait à nager dans le lac de Notre Dame de Laus.
Je sais que ma mère avait les souvenirs les plus précieux de chacun d'entre nous, mais ils n'appartenaient qu'à elle. Aucun de nous ne connaissait, n'aimait ou ne chérissait mon père comme elle.
Je sais que quelque part, dans l'immensité de tout ce qui se trouve au-delà, mon père et ma mère nous sourient et nous souhaitent bonne chance. Nous t'aimons. Papa.

My Father,
It is difficult at best, to attempt to honor my father’s words. It is never an easy task to capture someone in a speech, as often words fall short of capturing someone’s true essence. In this instance, they fail so far below the mark that I feel it is almost futile to try. So instead of trying. I am going to ask each of us  sit in silence for a moment and remember something about this man who touched each of our lives in so many ways
(pause)
I can imagine both smiles and tears. The tears, although there have been many tears of sadness in the past few weeks since we lost our father, not tears of sadness as you sit here and remember. They are tears of joy, intermingled with nostalgic smiles, for the way this man has left a permanent mark on our minds, hearts and souls.
I remember my dad, and the many parties and get-togethers with my aunts and uncles and cousins. They all seemed to enjoy each other’s company and have much fun.
I see my father’s grandchildren remembering fishing trips on Lake Baskatong and coming back smelling fishy with remnants of bait juice and pieces on their clothing. Enjoying the fish dinner, they had proudly provided. My father introducing them to the delectable wild garlic and having to endure their breath the rest of the evening.
I see my father sitting with his great-grandson after the Easter Hunt sharing in their chocolates with delight. (This is one of my favourite of photos).
I see my dad patiently teaching us how to drive and not dent his first-ever new vehicle. And mom feeling relieved once we got home safely. I remember him teaching us how to swim at Notre Dame de Laus. 
I know my mom had the most treasured memories of any of us, but they belonged to her alone. None of us knew or loved or treasured my dad as she did. 
I do know that somewhere, in the vastness of whatever lies beyond, my dad along with mom is smiling down at us and wishing us well. We love you. Dad.

We met Marcel and Jackie through his daughter, our good friend, Lise. Loved them both as though they were our Aunt and Uncle. Marcel was kind, welcoming, friendly, and funny. We always enjoyed his company, and will miss him terribly. We had some exciting lawn bowling games with him up at Pigeon Lake. He and Jackie also welcomed IBY’s mom as a good friend. We imagine him now in the arms of his beloved wife once more.

Dear Fran, Micheline, Gisele and Jean-Claude (PomPom). Bob and I would like to wish you with our deepest condolences. I know that Marcel was very appreciative of all of the help Fran and Micheline gave him during his stay at Bruyere where he was very happy to be living at.  We used to see him driving around on his scooter all over the place. May he now RIP.  Our condolences to his kids and loved ones as well.

Memories are about family and friends.
We can find some calm in the wonderful memories we have of Mak.
Mack was my cousin and good friend.
Mack was my witness when I married Midge.
Mack was the manager when we coached hockey.
I was very saddened of his passing.
I am grateful to have kept in touch with him till his passing.
