It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our brother Marc, August 30th 2021 at the young age of 56. He will be loved and remembered always and forever by his siblings Shawn (Shirley), Chantal (Rod), Nathalie (Dave), Stephane (Drew), Celine (Steve). He is predeceased by his parents Gerard (2004) and Clara (2011).
Family meant everything to Marc. His many nieces and nephews - Brandon, Renee, Charlotte, Cole, Tanner, Emily and Abby were the light of his life and he loved and treated them all as his own. He will be missed tremendously by them all and has left them with a legacy of kindness, generosity and humour.
Many thanks to the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for providing Marc with wonderful care in his final days. He couldn’t say enough about the professionals that were caring for him.
The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road), Ottawa, ON K1V 1A6, on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 from 2-4 p.m and from 6-8 p.m. Due to pandemic restrictions, please call the funeral home at 613-737-7900 to schedule your attendance.
In Lieu of flowers, and out of the love Marc had for his nieces and nephews, donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa.
