It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing at home, in Ottawa on Friday October 3rd 2014 at the age of 63. Daughter of the late Alcide Portelance and the late Jeannine (nee Grecco) Portelance. Beloved wife of Jean-Charles Lauzon. Loving mother of Claude Deschênes and of the late Daniel Deschênes. She also leaves in sorrow her ex-husband Jean-Claude Deschênes. Dear sister of Denis (Carole), Marcel (Joanne), Ida Durette (Yvon), Carole Molloy (Patrick), Claire, Jean-Guy, Irène Bellemare and Gisèle. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her cherished granddaughter Daphnée Méthode Deschênes, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Diane Beauchamps and Linda. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 11th 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home Chapel (180 Montreal Rd, Ottawa; 613-241-3680).
