Juliette lived a full and busy life, mostly in Clarence & Navan. She was born in the year of the great depression and experienced hardship at an early age. Undeterred and as a testimony to her strong will power, she persevered, despite many challenges and dire medical issues.
She will be remembered for the pride she took in creating large vegetable gardens, preparing delicious preserves and baking cakes and pies. She will also be fondly remembered for her love of family gatherings and sing-alongs in celebration of Christmas and New Year’s.
Juliette spent her last years at Centre d’acceuil Champlain where she enjoyed the French language community, listening to musicians, singing songs from her younger years, participating in arts and craft classes, a little gardening and never missing a bingo game.
Thank you to Centre d’acceuil Champlain staff for their care and support. We are forever grateful for the many doctors and nurses of the COVID section at the Ottawa General Hospital who put their lives on the line every day. Their compassion and amazing care in helping our mom at the end of her life will never be forgotten. Donations may be made in Juliette’s name to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
Due to the Covid situation, funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
