Predeceased by her husband Frank. Dear mother to Bev (Jim), Lois (Pete), Lorna (Denis) and Elaine (John). Dear grandma to Terri (Allan), Eric (Jilian), Nick, Lynne (Doug), Andrew (Sofia), Heather, Erin (Chris), Robin (Brian) and Kevin. Dear great-grandma to, McKenna, Mackenzie, Dashel, Sebastián, Teo, Kaydee, Lauree and Alannah.
Joyce was born in Detroit, Michigan to Ernest Hemmings and Lillian Hemmings (née Chapman). Joyce was an artist at heart and had many hobbies including watercolour painting, stained glass, gardening and of course, home decoration. She loved her sunroom and enjoyed the views, especially when the sky was blue.
A private family service will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, NW Corner Maple Grove Rd. & McCurdy Dr., Hazeldean.
