The family sadly announces the sudden passing of Jacques Poirier at the age of 61 years at the Montfort Hospital. Loving father of Mike, Daniel, Eric and Jean-Marc. Proud grandfather of Marc-André, Julie-Pierre, Taylor, Ethan, Dan Jr. and Lily. He will be dearly remembered by 4 brothers and 7 sisters. Jacques will be fondly missed by many nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Philippe Poirier and Ghislaine Miron and his loving sister Denise. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday May 9th 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Rd, Ottawa). A Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 10th 2013 at 10:30a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church (435 Montreal Rd, Ottawa). In Memory of Mr. Poirier, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
