(Ian) John Croft

Peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, June 28, 2010 . Son of the late James and Irene Croft of Scotland; beloved husband of 47 years to Jean; loving father to Travis, Caren, Beverley and Stacey (Mark) and cherished Granddad to Justin. Predeceased by his Goddaughter Elizabeth; John will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends, especially his nieces Jacqueline and Catherine, and his friends in the Bytown Lodge (#721). John was President and owner of CMI Services; a veteran of the Korean War (R.C.A.F); and a former member of the Ottawa Flying Club and the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association. Special thanks to Dr. Coulombe (CPCN), nurse Jodi (ParaMed), and other staff at CCAC for the excellent care and support they provided. A memorial service and reception will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home,1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road on Monday, July 5th at 10:00 AM.
