Howard McLaughlin

Howard was much loved and will be dearly missed by his wife Yvette (née Miljour) and children; John (Sandra Shean), Wanda (Ken Doren), Pat (Joanne Zimbalatte), and Donna (Kevin Timmins).

Cherished and proud grandpa to Holly, Riley and Robin McLaughlin, Corey and Molly Doren, Sam and Liam McLaughlin, Erika Scissons (Scott) and Erin Timmins, and great-grandfather to Emmett, Warren and Miller Scissons.

He is survived by his brother Dwight (Colleen) and sisters Florence (the late Francis Sullivan) and Helena (the late Arden O’Connor).

He was the son of the late Fred McLaughlin and Lima Kealey and predeceased by siblings Earl, Muriel (the late Austin Henry and the late George St Jean) and Bryan ( Audrey née Bedard).

Howard was loved and respected by many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to thank their many friends and relatives for the kindness and support that they have provided throughout Howard’s illness. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the entire staff at the long-term care facility in Gracefield.

A funeral Mass will be held for Howard on Friday October 15, at 11 am in Our lady of Sorrows Church, Venosta, QC, followed by a burial in St. Martin’s Cemetery, Martindale. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be limited seating available at the church and a maximum of fifty people at the cemetery. Those wishing to attend are required to reserve a seat by calling McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home at 613-737-7900.
