Grace McCaffrey(nee Mayer)

Grace was born to the late Albert and the late Ida Mayer on February 27, 1936 in Danford Lake, QC where she was raised along with her four siblings. She continued to live in Danford until she met her husband Jerry McCaffrey, and together they moved to Ottawa, ON, then eventually Maitland, ON where they lived until Jerry’s passing in 1992. Grace eventually moved back to Danford Lake in 1999.

Cherished mother of Sandra-Lee Robinson (Neil), Kerry-Lynn McCaffrey (Roger Johnson), Patti-Ann McCaffrey, the late Rodney McCaffrey (Shelley) and Jody McCaffrey (Lisa). Treasured grandmother of Katie McCaffrey, Cassie McCaffrey, Bailey McCaffrey, Jeremy McCaffrey, Maddie McCaffrey; step-grandmother of Cassi Jelly, Cole Jelly, Gary Johnson (Kaitlyn), and step great-grandmother of Grayson and Graham.

Grace is predeceased by her siblings Mamie (late Emile), Raymond (late Mildred), Lorne (Lucille) and Willard (late Sharon).

She will be fondly remembered by all as someone who lived her life with selfless love, gratitude and worship.

Family and friends may pay respects at the BETHANY HALL (33 HARRISSON RD, DANFORD LAKE, QC), FRIDAY JANUARY 12, 2024 from 1 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CATHOLIC CHURCH in KAZUBAZUA at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring at the Parish Cemetery.
