Gerry Raymond

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a loving husband and father. Passed away on May 9, 2018 at the age of 85. Dearly loving and devoted husband of Anita Raymond (Stanish) for 65 years of loving.

He was very proud of his two children Michel (Terrilyn) and Carole Weeks who considered him a super dad. The light of his spirit will shine on through his grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Daniel and Jordan. He is survived by his dear sister Lucille and brother Roger (Lynn) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Idola and Victor Raymond and brother John. Gerry will be remembered for his zest of life, his wit and great humour, his outgoing friendly personality, his skill as a storyteller but most of all for his love and devotion to his family. Since retirement, he busied himself by creating Stained Glass items and traveled extensively especially his many winters spent in Florida.

Visitation will held on Saturday May 12, 2018 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montreal Road, Ottawa), followed by a Memorial Service at the chapel. Refreshments will be served after the service. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
