Very peacefully in hospital, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the age of 83 years, Frances went to be with her Lord. Beloved wife of Clayton for 61 years. Loving mother of Nancy Scott (Dave), Bob (Dianne), Gordon (Carol Ann), David (Lisa) and Julie MacRobbie (Greg). Caring grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 8. Special thanks to all the staff on 5 North –East and the Palliative Care Team from the Ottawa General Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care provided to Frances. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Friday, Sept 28, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service on Saturday at 11 am in the Chapel. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation/Palliative Care Team would be appreciated.
