I was sorry to learn of your Mom's passing and extend our condolences to you and your families.  Thinking of your Mom puts a smile on my face of the great memories on Lorraine Avenue.  Her laugh was infectious!  I am sure there is a celebration going on in heaven to welcome her from the Lorraine Ave alumni.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss.  Visiting your cottage and  home with you, Tracey, brings back many great memories of your mom and dad.  Your mom’s laugh was one of a kind!  My deepest condolences to you and your family during this hardest of times.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your much loved Mom.  Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your families.  We have so many special memories of her from our first meeting here in Ireland, followed by a holiday spent at her homes in Ottawa and Venosta.  She and Des were welcoming, generous, hospitable and extremely patient hosts.  The visit  afforded us a unique opportunity to meet all our Canadian cousins which we might not have otherwise done.  We could never adequately express our gratitude for all they did for us.  Eva will always have  a special place in our hearts.  We will be thinking of you and praying for you during the weeks and months ahead as you grieve and try to come to terms with your great loss.
May Eva's gentle soul  rest in peace.  In Gaelic we say "Leaba imeasc na Naomh go raibh aici". (May she rest among the saints)

Dear Barry, Sharon, Tracey, families and extended Henry/Desormeaux families

My deepest, profound condolences on the loss of dear Eva.  In this time of your sorrow my thoughts, prayers and love go out to you all.

To hear Eva’s laughter, to see her smile as bright and warm as the noon day sun felt like “home”.  Her wit, her charm, a multitude of fond memories flood my thoughts.  Early 1960’s.  Eva and Des often popped by for a quick visit.  A new tune the Peppermint Twist blared from the radio as Eva and my Dad (Ernie) twisted up a storm.  Eva was quite serious about her moves, nevertheless hearty laughter filled the air, happy fun in that little kitchen on Lloyd St..  The hula-hoop craze hit.  Again that small kitchen echoed with laughter as Eva and my Dad spontaneously decided to take a go at this new toy contraption.  Awkwardly they tried and tried to get the hang of it, egged on by cheering and clapping, with determination Eva triumphed whirling that thing round ‘n round!

In cherished stories from Eva’s life can be found some comfort at this difficult time.  Since infancy and through the years, she, Colleen and my Mom (Annie) were quite very close not only related by blood but in solid friendship too.  Being my Godmother, Eva and I bonded even before my birth when she picked my unique name.  She gave encouragement with nurturing care aiding to steer my sometimes youthful lack of self.  She gave me my very first paying job.. babysitting, and contributed to and in my life when needed by lending a loving, helping hand, for which my enduring gratitude remains.

A genteel, beautiful woman inside and out with a movingly admired generosity of heart and spirit, a leader by example, a source of wisdom, a prolific wordsmith, a fountain of knowledge, truth, understanding, patience, and love, mixed with an embrace of her powerful warmth of sincerest kindness...your presence lovely Eva will be sorely missed.

Barry,Sharon,Tracey and the Henry brothers and sisters.  There are no words that can begin to capture the magnitude of your loss.  I’m so sorry that you and your family are going through this now.  Barry ,Sharon and Tracey, your mom was one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve known and her compassion continues to shine on through you guys.  She is gone from your sight but never from your heart.

My sincere condolences in the loss of your Dear Mom.  She was a bright light, a shining star and an incredible woman who always took time to chat with people.  Gatherings were always so fun when she was in attendance. She had a heart of gold, loved her extended family dearly and had an incredible love and recollection of events from growing up in her hometown of Venosta. 

May your memories of her and your Dear Dad, always be cherished.  You have another amazing angel watching over you.
