Born on June 4, 1937, Betty was the youngest of four siblings and grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She met the love of her life, Dave, through a club for tall people, and together, they shared 63 beautiful years of marriage until his passing just a few months ago. Their union was a partnership built on love, laughter, and mutual respect, and together, they raised three children: Mike, Debbie, and Tracy. Betty was also deeply proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose presence brought immeasurable joy to her life.
Betty dedicated much of her life to her family. She juggled various roles and jobs while raising her children, supporting Dave’s career in the federal government, and embracing the adventures that came with their moves. In her later years, she worked at Statistics Canada, where she formed lasting friendships.
She was known for her kind, considerate nature and had an effortless ability to make friends wherever she went, and those friendships endured throughout her life. Whether she was at home or traveling, Betty found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including her love for a good gamble.
She leaves behind her three children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory. Betty's warmth and love touched everyone she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
While our hearts ache at her passing, we take comfort knowing that she is reunited with Dave, the great love of her life. They were inseparable in this life, and now, we believe, they are together again. Our hearts find peace in knowing that they are forever united in love.
