Peacefully with her loving son, Orlando at her side on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Montfort Hospital, at the age of 92. Elisa is now reunited with her beloved husband Vincenzo, along with her father, Rocco, and mother Annina. Elisa was the youngest of 12 children and she is predeceased by her brothers Pasquale, Antonio, Cosimo, Alfonso, Attilio, along with her sisters Emilia Italia, Laria Carmina, Laura, Ida Anna, Concetta, and Lucia. Elisa leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews located in Italy and Canada. Thank you to the staff and management at Windsor Park Retirement Home for their care efforts they provided for Elisa during the past two years.
Family and friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Anthony's Church, 427 Booth Street, Ottawa, at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Capital Memorial Gardens. A Reception at the Funeral Home in Elisa's honour will follow the Entombment.
