I enjoyed talking to Doris, when I went to visit my parents-in-law (Garry and Carolyn Villeneuve) I made a point to talk to Doris if she was outside always looking her best taking care of her flowers, getting her mail or feeding the birds and squirrels.  She always had an interesting conversation, I could talk to her for hours.  At one point she had a stray cat visiting her every single day, she would make sure the cat was fed and she even made him a comfortable bed to sleep at night in her porch.  Wherever Doris would go the cat would follow her, she could even give him a pet on the head but the funny part was no one else was able to touch him, just Doris.  I remember how sad she was when the cat stopped coming at her door, she knew something terribly bad had happened to him.
I will miss Doris, a beautiful lady inside and out, my family will also miss her, Randy, my husband have known her all his life, and my kids always stopped and said hi to her on their way to see Grandma and Grandpa.  It will never be the same walking by her house.
