Thinking about all of you today and remembering so many good times I had with Diane. I have missed her phone calls and our lunch’s together and stories about all of you! Even though I didn’t see her often , we had a long history together and so many fond memories of our teen years together!

Tara. JP we miss Di so very much, Dave and I mention her name often.   A heart of gold, genuine kindness for everyone including all the special dogs and a sparkel in her eye that conveyed a zest for life, family. friends, and pets.  Hold dear to memories as they are always in our hearts.

Tara, JP and all the family - my thoughts are with you today and of course Diane and all the memories we shared together.  I can still hear her laugh......wonderful memories and I am thankful to have had such a good friend and good person as part of my life.

As today was approaching , the thought came to me that Diane was my first teenage friend (13) when I moved into the Glebe. She welcomed me right away and we stayed life-long friends! Her heart was full of kindness back then and continued all of her life.

I can't believe that one year has passed since we lost a very special person.  For you, the family, I hope that time will help lessen the sadness.  She will be forever remembered as one of my most faithful friends and will not be forgotten.



I met Di when I moved in to Ave O in 1997 and we became instant friends. She was always there for us (Cameron, Shannon & I) & she was my book reading partner. Our talks & laughs will not be forgotten. I always knew if my kids were missing that I could find them by looking in Di's kitchen window - to find them having a snack & a chat. Di had your back 100% of the time without a doubt and no matter the situation. She was "one of a kind Diane", we miss her & loved her so much. My heart goes out to her family. To the family and friends of Diane. My deepest heartfelt condolences at this most difficult time. Di was a dear friend and colleague. I have such fond memories of her. I especially remember her incredible tolerance of my poor golf. I would be ‘invited’ to join Diane, Pat and Claire for golf games after work. We had many great laughs, mostly at my expense. Diane was the consummate lady and professional. She dearly loved her family. Rest In Peace my friend.

ToTara, and all of the Darragh family-
 Diane was my cousin- her Dad was my Mom's brother. We didn't know the family well in our youth, but my sister, Pat, and I got to know her better in the last 20 years or so. We had some wonderful times together- dinner and "Mama Mia" at the NAC,  emails, and numerous lunches, the last being in Dec. 2021. Diane was a great lady- fun, intelligent, generous and kind, and very brave in facing her illness. I really admired her, and will miss her. Deepest sympathies to all.

Robert and I were friends of Diane who lived just down the street from us. Firstly when she had her townhome across the little park and she had just gotten Riley.  At the time we had two golden retrievers and would meet her in the park on our walks. My golden Molly loved Diane as she knew treats were about to come out.  Later on after she moved into Kay's home, our 3 dog which was my mother’s duck Toller got to know Riley. She didn't trust younger dogs but the more sedate older ones were good. She would speed up whenever she saw Diane and, as Diane always had those little bone treats in her pockets for any dog that came to her, Ginger was quite happy. Diane also took care of Stella Bella who lived across the road.  We miss Diane terribly as she was such a mainstay on our street. always happy to come outside to say hi whenever we stopped to give Stella a pat . We would also meet in the park and sit on the bench while our dogs rested from walks. Diane was a wonderful person,  kind, and loved the dogs so much. She is missed here on Avenue N  and she wont be forgotten by any of us.   All our condolences to Diane’s family.   Lindsay and Robert Marmen

To the Darragh family...hearing of Diane's passing is heartbreaking...growing up in the Glebe, I met Diane when I was 10 years old...her mom was my mom's hair stylist....my mom adored her mom as we all did...Diane too was loved and adored by her many friends...she was always ready to chat and always with a smile...later as Facebook became the communicating way she always posted articles and kept in touch that way...she was just a great person and will be totally missed...my prayers and condolences to all her family...she will truly be missed ...Linda Friel

To all of Diane’s family , I send my deepest condolences.
I will miss our phone calls, our lunch dates and the memories we have shared from so many years ago! Diane and I met when we were 14 years old in the early 60’s.
We shared our first loves together and practiced and perfected Chubby Checker’s “The Twist”  every Saturday night when all of us went to her house on O’Connor St. where her Mom welcomed us all.
She was one of the kindest women I have been so blessed to call my friend and I cherish the memories we shared together!

Although I had not seen her for a long time I remember her fondly.
I used to see her many years ago at my local Shoppers Drug Mart.
