Peacefully at home, surrounded by her most loving family, husband Matt, daughter Michelle, sons Dustin and Josh, grandsons Morgan and Cameron, and friends, on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the age of 52 years. We now say goodbye to a most loving wife, mother, grandma, aunt who was respected and loved by those whose lives she touched, admired for her courage during her difficult illness. Special thanks to Doctors and Nurses at the Ottawa Cancer Center, her family physician Dr. T McCallan and the St Elizabeth Nursing staff, for their professional and compassionate care. The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, (at Albion Road) on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11 am, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers in memoriam donations to the Ottawa Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
