He was 85 years of age.
Born on February 20, 1939, Dave grew up in Port Colborne on the shores of Lake Ontario.
In 1961, Dave married his sweetheart Elizabeth "Betty" Anne with whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.
Together they raised Mike, Debbie and Tracy and celebrated the joy of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Betty, children Mike (Kathy), Debbie (Peter), Tracy, brother Paul (Gert) Sutton of St- Catherines, Ontario, grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dave dedicated his federal civil service career to the presently known as Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) where his intelligence and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
Known for his easy-going nature, he was a wonderful storyteller whose wit and humor could light up any room. Dave was smart, caring, and always had a kind word or funny anecdote to share.
Rest in peace, Dave. Your spirit and laughter will remain in our hearts forever.
