Passed away peacefully after a brave battle against cancer on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital in Ottawa. She was born on February 27, 1947 in Edmonton, Alberta and was a gifted teacher and a talented artist who dedicated her life to her children. She was a unique soul…a vibrant and social being who loved to shop and dreamed of travelling the world. She will be greatly missed by her brother Rick Turner (wife Carol Raketti), daughter Taryn Taylor (husband Trevor Sturtevant), her son Todd Taylor (wife Wendi Smith) and her beautiful grandchildren Teagan, Hadley & Tanner. A memorial service will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made in Carole’s name to the Palliative care ward at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital in Ottawa, who provided exemplary care.
