Alexander Patrick Sloan

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Alexander Sloan on 2 July, 2022, at age 70, after a long battle with kidney disease. A devoted, kind, and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he is survived by his wife and best friend, Rose Cecile Sloan (nee Levesque), children, Elisha (Hayward), Joel (Dawn), and Melissa (Jamie), and grandchildren Aida, Cora, Travis, Alexandra, Kaylee, and Keegan.

Alex was patient and known to able to fix anything and tell funny stories about his younger days with siblings and military friends. He loved to spend time outdoors camping and hunting and was hard to beat at cards and chess. He demonstrated his courage and strength throughout his illness and looked out for his family until the very end. He will be greatly missed…

“Dad was a person full of knowledge and life experiences, he was quiet, but if you sat with him, he was sure to share his stories and knowledge. He always showed compassion, was not one to complain, he persevered and was always able to find a way to enjoy the moments in front of him, and showed us those were what mattered the most. That is what I will miss the most.”
