We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Alexander (Alistair) James MacLachlan at the age of 95. After a short battle with cancer he died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday November 15, 2024.
Alistair was predeceased by his loving wife Donalda and son Stuart. He was the loving father to Ross (Aileen) and David. He was a proud step-grandfather to Courtney (David) and Lauren (Paul). Alistair also leaves behind many dear extended family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rachel Tyrrell, Dr. Rajiv Samant and the assisted care staff at Hazeldean Gardens and Bayshore HealthCare for their kind and compassionate care.
A visitation will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home (1411 Hunt Club Road) on Saturday December 7, 2024 from 1:00pm until the Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 2:00pm. A reception will follow.
