

Henry was born on March 30, 1925 in Salina, Ks to Charles and Mary (Cosal) Shriver. He was raised and attended school in Salina. At the age of 17 Henry joined the U.S. Air Force. He served 3 years and was honorably discharged. He went to Plumbing school in Chicago and went to work as a plumber/pipe fitter. He worked in several cities, Salina Ks, Boise, Portland and the Tri cities where he worked at Hanford. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe fitters union #598 out of the Tri Cities; he had received his 50-year pin as a plumber/pipe fitter. In 1983 he met and later married Lorraine James. Henry retired in 1985.
Henry was a member of the Othello Nazarene Church, he played the guitar and sang with many bands a young man and later with the “Old Time Fiddlers” He enjoyed sluicing for gold though he never hit the mother load. He also enjoyed his annual winter trip to Arizona with Lorraine He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his honesty.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Katherine. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, his daughters Patricia Abbot of Eureka, CA Cheryl Wimer of Spokane, WA and Margie Bake of Moses Lake and 10 grand children.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Monday July 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Othello Nazarene Church. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday beginning at 1:00 PM
