James L. Watson, 81, of Ossian, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born March 25, 1930 in Fort Wayne to the late Clarence and Viola (Forks) Watson. Mr. Watson was employed as a welder at Hower Tool for 26 years and retired in 1992. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Surviving are his children, Marilyn Heckman of Soddy Daisy, TN, Cindy Woolf of Fishers, IN, James (Flo) Watson of Boiling Springs, S.C., Larry (Maureen) Watson of Fort Wayne, Linda Haynes of Graceville, FL, Cheryl McKinney of Fort Wayne, and Debra (Karl) Gerz of Ossian; sixteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Preceding Mr. Watson in death in addition to his parents was his wife, Roberta Watson in 2002 and one grandson. Funeral services are Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 2 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials may be to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
