Anna Jane Houser Couch, 94, of Ossian, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. She was born on May 30, 1927 in Decatur, Indiana. She was a daughter of the late Harley and Julia Gunder. Jane had worked at the Ossian State Bank for over 20 years. She was a devoted member of Ossian Presbyterian Church since 1945. Jane was also a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed quilting, reading, crocheting, avid camper, and she enjoyed traveling. She also loved singing in the choir, especially cantatas and attending musicals and theatre performances. Jane is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Willie) Lechleitner; son, David Houser; grandchildren, Jody (Joe) Salazar, Dawn (Chad) Ihrie, Heidi Houser, Abby (Jeremy) Carnahan, Kelly (Suthin) Carney, Jeremy Carney, Joshua (Bethany) Carney, and Amber Sands; 20 great- grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. Also preceding her in passing was her husband, Richard "Dick" Couch; late husband, David F. Houser; great- grandson, Darrion Carney; brother, Richard Gunder; and sisters, Alice Baumgardner and Barbara Wingham. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral home 120 W. Mill Street Ossian, Indiana 46777 with visitation beginning at 12pm. Burial to follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Masks are optional for the visitation and service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Children Hospital or Northeast Indiana Honor Flight. Condolences can be left online at www.elzey-patterson-rodak.com.
