Sophia Hroncich

Peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on Monday, August 26th, 2019 at 79 years of age. Beloved wife of John for 59 years. Loving mother of Susan King (Albert), Jeffrey Hroncich (Kelly) and John Hroncich (Paula). Cherished Grandma of Steven, Stephanie, Sarah, Leigh, Matthew, Colton and Megan. Predeceased by her parents John and Adriana Vanderzwet and her mother and father-in-law John and Antonia Hroncich. Dear sister of Helen (the late John), Nellie (the late Harold), Nancy (the late Filipo), Frank (Lynda) and sister-in-law of John. Predeceased by brother and sisters Gerard, John (Ann), Wilma and Cathy (Carl). Sophia will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Joe Hroncich (Marj) and predeceased by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Anthony Hroncich (Kathleen). Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, August 28th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CHURCH, 570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa on Thursday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
