Rosa Palumbo

May 25, 1943 – September 22, 2023

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow we announce the passing of Rosa, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. A woman whose life was all about her family especially her children and grandchildren.

Rosa was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Domenico (1999). She was the loving and devoted mother of Pasquale, Silvestro and Maria. Cherished Nonna to grandchildren Justin (Brooke) and Amy.

She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Domenica Chiodi, her brothers, Giovanni Chiodi, Domenico Chiodi, and sister Maria Del Vecchio. Rosa is survived by her sister Caterina Rocchio, her brother Pietro Chiodi, her sister Lisa Rocchio, brother in-laws, sister in-laws, and many nephews and nieces, both here in Canada and abroad.

The family wished to thank all the nurses and PSW’s at Extendicare Oshawa for looking after Mama these past five years. We also extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their expert and compassionate care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE PARISH, 570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa on Friday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a private family entombment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Dialysis Unit or the charity of your choice.
