Norma Shelley

On Saturday, January 16th, 2016, Norma Eileen Shelley (nee Donley) passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates. Norma was in her 93rd year. Norma was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Murray in 2008. She was the loving mother of Paul (Susan) and had two grandchildren she loved very much, Karen Fertile (Ryan) and Bryan (Lexie). She was thrilled to watch her great granddaughter Wynne play when she visited. Norma made friends wherever she went, particularly at her favourite place; Grandview Park. Her friendly feisty character will be remembered by those who met her. A special thank you to Dr. McIntosh, the nurses and staff from all departments at Hillsdale who made Norma’s life comfortable and more fun and enjoyable. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, January 20th at 12:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted to Alzheimer Society of Durham.
