Marguerite (McKay) Cooper

Passed away peacefully at Comfortable Alternative for Seniors on Monday, January 5th, 2015, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Vance (2013) of 71years. Loving mother of Joy Stringer (Dale), Vance Edward “Ted” (Anne), and Doug (Anna). Cherished grandmother of Michael (Emma), Christopher (Kate), Cathy (Steve), Jennifer (Brent), Kelly (Brad), Ryan (Deb), John (Margo), and great grandmother of Nolan, Lily, Cale, Dawson, Austin and Lauren. Survived by sisters-in-law Audrey McKee (Jim) and Jacqueline Cooper. Predeceased by sisters Kay Kimball and Wanda Kimball, and by her brother Gordon McKay. Marguerite will be forever remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to caregiver Marie Rogers for taking such wonderful care of Marguerite. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, January 12th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis or Alzheimer Society.
