When April was a baby, we lived in north Oshawa and I would walk over to your home on Taunton Rd. and had a coffee with Aunt Marg this particular day.  April was crying at night and sleeping all day, she had her nights and days mixed up.  I asked Aunt Marg if she could help me or give me any advice on the crying situation.  Aunt Marg listened with a smile on her face as she put her arms out to take April into her arms.  She nestled her just so in her arms with her hand on the back of her head.  She said, "You want to know what I did when I had this proplem with the children when they were young, as she was rocking back and forth in her chair, she sang, "You better shut up or I'll spank you, you better shut up or I'll spank you." This made me laugh so hard, and when I think of that day, I know I have a treasured memory for ever. I loved Aunt Marg so much. Love Shirley Hood

I am very saddened to hear of Marg's passing.  I knew her at the hospital when she was a volunteer ( my Mom was also a volunteer at the same time ) and I was one of the Nursing Unit Directors. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out.  Her energy, joy and caring of others emitted every time she was near. She had a loving smile, a good sense of humour, and I will always remember her at the " Pub Nights ", the bar b ques and strawberry socials we held for the long term care patients.  She made sure they all had a wonderful time.  Thank you for sharing your love Marg.

Lynn, Brian, Michael and families have lost a wonderful mother. And we were blessed to have such a special friend in our lives.

Sorry to hear of Margs passing.  She was a breath of fresh air at the cancer center, and we shared many a lighthearted moment.  As a volunteer driver myself, it was always a pleasure to chat with her.
