Lloyd Garnet Chapman

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Lloyd Chapman on Monday, September 29th, 2014 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Letitia Marie (De Guerre) for 69 years. Sadly missed by his sons Bob and his wife Ruthmary of Scarborough, Randy and his wife Laura of Armena, Alberta, Lyn and his partner Suzie of Springbrook. Grandfather of Heather and her husband Michael Leach, Gregory and his partner Leigh, Laura, Brad and his wife Cassandra, Michael and his wife Angela of Trenton and Lynda and her husband Nathan of Ottawa. Great grandfather of Austin, Kayla, Ashleigh, Aidan, Ainsley, Alexander, Logan, Avery, Ben, extended family Chester and Tori, and many nieces and nephews. Special uncle to Dawn Rumsey and her husband Patrick of Georgia and Cheryl Brown of Oshawa. Predeceased by his brother Milton and sisters Dorothy Laffin and Ruth Brown. Lloyd had a wonderful sense of humour and always had a joke or funny story. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, October 2nd from 6 – 8 p.m. and Friday, October 3rd from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice or St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto would be appreciated.
