Kathleen (Kathy) Nina Jones

Passed away after a brief and courageous battle at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 at the age of 53. Loving wife and best friend of Neil for over 25 years. Adored Mom of Joseph “Joey” (Carly) and Richard “Ricky” (Sarah). Kathy was a cherished sister of two sisters, three brothers and a beloved sister-in-law. Adored Auntie of many, but will be especially missed by Martina and Mason, as well as by extended family and other relatives. Predeceased by her father Ray and her father-in-law Neil Sr. Kathy will be forever remembered for her love of family, her willingness to put others before her and her generosity in volunteering. She had a “green thumb” and was especially proud of her gardens. The Jones family would like to extend their appreciation to the caring and compassionate nursing staff of 4F at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the care given to Kathy and her family. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, January 19th from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Celebration of Kathy’s Life to be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted for the Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care.
