It is with heavy hearts that the family of Josephine Mary Murphy announces her passing at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa on November 23rd, at the age of 50 years. Predeceased by her father Peter Murphy, grandparents Frank and Mary Shea, Edward and Susan Murphy, uncles Michael, Frank, Andrew and Bill Shea, John Thomas and Patrick Murphy, first – cousins Peter Shea and Paul Murphy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Adam, Steven, Lauren and their father Victor Mitchell. Mother Bride Murphy of Marystown, Nfld., twin sister Jacqueline Murphy of Paradise, Nfld., brother Rick of Marystown. Nfld., niece Amanda Gulliver and nephews Gary Osmond and Andrew Kilfoy, Aunt Nellie Noseworthy (Roy) of Pouch Cove, Nfld., Elizabeth (Leonard Doody) of St. John’s, Nfld., her aunts Francis Stinpson (Alan) of New Hampshire, Nfld., Susan Murphy of St. John’s Nfld., and Phyllis Murphy of Little Bay, Nfld., her uncles Michael (Beth) Murphy of Little Bay, Nfld. and Edward and Gabriella of Little Bay, Nfld. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, November 26th from 6 – 9 p.m., Friday, November 27th, 2 – 4 & 6 - 9 p.m., Saturday, November 28th, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at ST. GERTRUDE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH (690 King Street East) on Saturday, November 28th at 1:00 p.m. Flowers will be graciously accepted or a donation may be made to Hearth Place in memory of Josephine Murphy.
