James Chung-Yeu Kwan M.D.

Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, August 24th, 2015; Dr. James C. Kwan, in his 89th year, Beloved husband of Christine; Dear father of Alexis, Kim, Patrick and his wife Surani, Daniel and his wife Gloria, and Duncan. Loving grandfather of Cassandra, Sienna, Malachi, and Timothy. Beloved brother of Laura, Tony and his wife Josephine, and Madeline and her husband Richard. Dr. Kwan was born and educated in China, and came to Canada in 1954. He practiced family medicine at the Oshawa Clinic for 41 years. Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King St. West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, September 1st from 10:00am until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Thornton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dr. Kwan’s memory made to the Whitby-Oshawa Chinese Baptist Church or Calvary Baptist Church would be appreciated.
