Passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 13th, 2011 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Ruth, loving father of Paul (Sue), Margaret-Anne, (Andy) and Carol-Lynne (Dan). Cherished Grandpa of Kevin, Amanda, Nicole, Heather, Sean, Brett, Payton and Chase. Predeceased by his parents, his three brothers and one sister. Jake is survived by two brothers, four sisters and by his large extended family. Uncle Jake will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was also a special friend, brother-in-law, and uncle of the Thiffault family. Jake will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Friday, September 16th from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in Chapel on Saturday, September 17th, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
