Passed peacefully surrounded by family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 at the age of 78. Loving mother of Pamela (Jon) and Colin (Maureen). Cherished grandmother of Aidan, Cameron, Brayden, Liam and Lara. Dear sister of Mary and predeceased by her brothers William and Thomas. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary. Helen was blessed with many friends through her work at the Durham School Board and her ministries with St. Mary of the People Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Sunday, August 19 from 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 20 at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa) at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
