Gary James Hooper

Passed away suddenly in Whistler, B.C. living life to the fullest on Monday, February 17th, 2014, in his 79th year. Dearly beloved husband of Ann for 54 years. Loving father of Grant (Elaine Brown), Michelle Hoard (Tim), and Paula Kane (Rod). Adored Papa of Geoffrey, Cassandra, Dean, Ryan, Connor, Lindsay and Delaney. Dear brother of Barry and his wife Carol. Son of the late Charlie and Margaret (nee St. Pierre). “Hoop” will be dearly missed by all his family, ski, golf and trailer buddies. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, February 24th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 25th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.
