Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 at the age of 83. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Elizabeth Moffatt, beloved husband of his late wife Joyce. Garnet was a cherished father to Diane (Paul), Ross (Darla), Al (Kathleen), Liz (Paul) and Brian. Garnet was adored by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Garnet will be sadly missed by his sisters Jean, Ev, Marj, Phyllis, Helen and Lola. Predeceased by brothers Roy, Lyle and Doug. Lovingly remembered by his large extended family and his wide circle of friends. Garnet enjoyed nothing more than to laugh and cause laughter with his love of jokes. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, August 29th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care.
