Elizabeth "Liz" Edna Bigley

BIGLEY, Elizabeth (Liz) Bigley Klinduch - Liz passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on May 16, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the treasured mom of Katie and Laura. She will be fondly remembered by Jan, Walter, Andrea, her "Westwood Gang" and many others. Liz was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years at the Durham Board of Education where she loved teaching children more than anything. Thanks to the nurses of Lakeridge Oshawa, the staff of the Cancer Centre, her palliative nurse Samara and Bayshore Home Health, especially Evelyn. The funeral will be held on Saturday May 27, 2023 at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Brooklin with visitation at 12:30 pm, service at 1:30 pm followed by a procession to Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin. Liz has asked attendees to not wear black if they prefer. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

Following the service and burial, the family would like to invite all who are able to join them at the Rotary Sunrise Lake Park for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Please bring your favorite picnic blankets or lawn chairs as seating is limited.
