David Ernest Thurston

We are sad to announce the death of David “Dave” Ernest Thurston on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015. Dave passed away at home peacefully Tuesday morning at the age of 61 after a brief battle with cancer.

Dave was born in 1954 and grew up in Scarborough Ontario with his parents Ernie and Marg (deceased), and siblings Blair, Sharon and Stephen. He worked at Canada Post for 42 years retiring last August. He moved to Oshawa in 1978 raising his children there and living at the family home with Deb until his final day which was as he wished.

Dave will be missed by his loving wife Deb, his children, Jon and Matt, their spouses, Julie and Molly as well as his four grandchildren Avery, Zander, Angus and Garnet. Dave will also be remembered by his siblings, mother in-law, Vi, sister in-laws, Penny and Mary, and brother in-law Don, as well as his extended family and all of his friends. A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at NORTHVIEW COMMUNITY CENTRE, 150 Beatrice Street East, in Oshawa.
