Peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 27th, 2014 in his 91st year. Predeceased by his wife Mary. Loving father of Allan (Susan), late Bruce (Joyce) and Paul. Grandfather of Lorianne (Brian), Christopher (Karena), Carissa (Rob), Deanna, Stephanie (Shawn), Patrick, Mary-Anne and Michael (Amy). Great grandfather of Brady, Collin, Martina, Helena, Lucas, Greyson, Eric and Nicole. Special father of Chris Stratton and Grandfather to Erin and Scott Stratton. Predeceased by his sister Eileen, brothers Harold, Emmerson and John. Dad will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Friday, August 29th, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Prayers will be held at 7:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, (194 Simcoe Street N.) on Saturday, August 30th, at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Gregory’s Cemetery.
