My heart goes out to the entire family, Christina gave the gifts of laughter and kindness to all who knew her. These are the best gifts of all. She will always be remembered with great fondness and warm hearts for the rest of our days. I know she rests in peace now.

I had the honour of having Christina as my mother-in-law and then (ex) mother-in-law for all of my adult life.  Whether near or far - her love was always with me and mine with her.  This woman had so much strength of will, strength of character, sense of humour and such grounded values and yet was also so vulnerable.....these qualities saw many people - family and beyond family- through many a tough times and many more great times!  I loved the way,  through her story-telling she found a very subtle (but not so subtle) way to share her values  and opinions with you....while you thought she was just telling you a story!!!!
She dealt with life's disappointments with dignity and grace ... and a shrug of her shoulders!
I thank her for being a super  Baba to all her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.  Her support to us all in raising our children was so generous and selfless and sincere.  I don't think there was anything more important to her than her children and all children!
Pure and simple....Christina was home to me.  In many ways....I've tried to live up to the example she set in the way I am Mother, Sister, Daughter, Wife, Grandmother, Friend to all those in my life and I thank her in my prayers often!
I extend my sincerest sympathies to Greg, George, Diane & Kathy and their families as well as to her brothers Mike, Steve and George and their families.
 
Christina, I will miss you greatly, my children and grand-children will miss you.....but we are grateful for a lifetime of wonderful memories and lessons you leave us with....until we meet again......I love you....Linda xox

I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Christina welcoming us, and her care and concern for others. She always thought of others first. Memories are forever and there are many especially from my young childhood as going over to Aunt Christina's and Uncle George's with my brother was an adventure to play with all my cousins and test Aunt Christina's never faltering good nature. So sorry for your loss Diane and family. I knew of you and your Mother from Extendicare Oshawa as well as our paths crossed in the Palative Care unit of Lakeridge Health. You had shown us her picture from the old restaurant days. What a charming woman she was.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of your Mom ( and her cooking) on Quebec Street and at the cottage.  She was a very kind hearted person always there for my parents and our family.  Donna and Ron send their condolences  as well.

I'm so sorry for your loss Diane.  Your mom was a great lady, always very kind, funny and a great cook. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

I have only known Christina for a few months as my mother's room mate at Extendicare. But in that short time, through laughs and some tears, but mostly laughs... we grew together almost like family. Her great attitude, wisdom and kindness had touched my life and everyone else's life around her. I will remember and treasure the memory of Christina for the rest of my life.
